Cosmetic Injectables
Botox®, Xeomin®, and Jeuveau®
Botox®, Jeuveau®, Xeomin® & Dysport® are simple non-surgical treatments to reduce or eliminate the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and can also be used to prevent the lines from developing. Made from a purified protein, both can safely and successfully treat wrinkles that are caused by muscle contractions such as frown lines, forehead creases, crow’s feet and neck bands, giving you a refreshed, younger look.

The effects typically last about three months.
Some patients that come in have already found that they have a preference of one brand over another if they've had previous treatments done.
Others just simply leave it up to the Dr.'s judgement one which one is best suited for their needs.

Botox® is the brand name of an injectable produced by Allergan Inc. It’s the first and most popular neuromodulator. Botox® contains Botulinum toxin type A, hence its name. There are also small amounts of albumin and sodium chloride. Botox® was FDA approved in 2002 for the treatment of forehead wrinkles, Crow’s feet, and other fine lines on the face.
For cosmetic purposes, your dermatologist will administer small doses in multiple places for it to take effect. Botox can last as long as 4-6 months, on average.

Jeuveau is already being hailed as the "new BOTOX." So, what makes Jeuveau special? This product first became available to the public after FDA approval in February 2019.
In a clinical trial involving over 2,000 participants, NewTox was found to be just as effective as BOTOX in wrinkle reduction. The key difference between the two brands is that Jeuveau is approximately 20% less expensive than BOTOX.

Xeomin® came to the American market in 2010 and was FDA approved in 2011. So it’s one of the new kids on the skin-smoothing block. While these three brands have the same active ingredient, the difference lies in their molecular makeup.
Both the Dysport® and Botox® molecules contain a complexing protein. On the other hand, Xeomin® is “naked” and experts consider it the purest injectable. This gives Xeomin® an advantage for persons with skin sensitivities as there are fewer proteins to interact with the body. A lack of additives means that Xeomin® may work faster than the others; however, this varies with each patient.
Dysport is a prescription injection designed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines and enhance your overall appearance. It targets an area known as the glabella, which is located between the eyebrows and stretches up towards the forehead. When glabella wrinkles are not treated, their prominence can grow as a person’s skin relaxes.
Dysport injection ingredients consist of the same active ingredient found in Botox (botulinum Toxin Type A). Shortly after being injected, it eliminates facial muscle contractions on a temporary basis. This helps to decrease your fine lines, wrinkles, and any other blemishes that are visible on your face.
