Ann-Marie Llanes, PA-C
Ann-Marie grew up in Puerto Rico until she was 13 years old then moved to Virginia Beach, VA for high school. She stayed in the area to earn her Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2015. Since then, she has worked for numerous years in dermatology and moved to North Carolina due to her husband, Michael's, job as a Chief in the Coast Guard. She is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is an active member of the Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Ann-Marie has always loved dermatology. She can relate to patients because she struggled with atopic dermatitis as a child and acne as a teenager. Ann-Marie loves diagnosing and treating patients' dermatologic disorders and improving their outcomes. In addition, she enjoys educating patients on skin cancer prevention, cosmetic procedures, dermatologic conditions, and their treatment options. Finally, it gives her great pleasure to build relationships with patients and earn their trust by providing excellent patient care, whether medical or cosmetic. She is fluent in both Spanish and English. In her free time, she enjoys catching up on her favorite tv shows, spending time with family, walking, and drinking coffee. "I feel blessed to be allowed to make a difference in my patients' lives every day."
